Hello my name is Jayson Argento and I live in Vermont, USA. I am making a Documentary that intends to bring awareness to the world as to how most human conflict happens, how it can be avoided, and most importantly…Abolished!

I believe some of the contributing factors of human conflict are self preservation, greed, selfishness, overpopulation, ignorance and mostly FEAR..

There are so many factors involved. Evolution of our species made it incredibly important for the individual to survive above all else. Without survival there is no procreation. without procreation there are no offspring. Without offspring there is no species. Then, we as people generally protect our next level of importance… our children. When we feel threatened we lose our belief in the “sanctity of human life” often kindness can break down and some of the worlds most terrible crimes can be committed.

Most people try to get the closest parking spot at the mall even though they can walk just fine and others may have need to be closer to the door but they don’t quite meet the requirements to get a handicapped permit. funny thing is they all walk around the mall for an hour or more so why was that parking close parking space so important?

More seriously, We are all capable of killing another person or many people when we are feeling threatened, or at least we are willing to sanction others to kill.

Things that make us feel threatened are abundant and tend to feed into each other and snowball. Like… natural resources, borders, beliefs, appearance, prejudice, language, jealousy, revenge and on and on and on.

Its all about FEAR! Or is it? Fear of what? Death? No… maybe… fear of not existing? The need to exist is of paramount importance. it is cemented into our genetics 3 billion years of evolution has passed since the first single celled organism struggled to survive. If you are religious then its thousands of years of learning to protect you, your family, your town, your country. either way science or religion we all answer the call of survival. Perhaps we are just putting too much importance on our own lives. That’s crazy huh? however, there would certainly be less fighting if we all didn’t think it was so important to stay alive. that’s interesting isn’t it?

So why don’t we all just drop our weapons and be friends? why don’t we understand that THEY can be reasoned with just like WE would listen if THEY would stop hating us. Well… what if THEY don’t drop their guns? What if they’re tricking us? Seems as though if we didn’t feel it was so important to be alive and that death was so terrible that we would all be more willing to take the chance… the chance for har-mo-ny.

Lets say we do all decide to be at peace and listen to each other. how long will that last? At the rate humans are consuming the earth’s resources soon someones gonna need that last drop of oil or water. what is the answer?

But… what about language barriers? What about hate? What about borders? what about upbringing? What about the children? What about our possessions? Our beliefs? Our hopes Our dreams? Our dreams? do people become hostile because of their dreams?

Well THEY are wondering and worrying and dreaming about the same thing WE are.  Why can’t we just all take a deep breath, drop our arms to our sides, smile and be what we all say we want to be…. at peace.

This documentary will address all these points in depth and I’m sure will uncover many many many many more. It is a big project, and of the utmost importance… or is it? Well if life wasn’t so important why would peace matter at all? Peace may be its own paradox. Wow!
